Music and singing are central to worship at St. Michael’s. A small mixed choir leads the congregational hymn singing at the 10.00 am Parish Eucharist every Sunday. Anthems are also sung during special services throughout the year. The repertoire is wide, ranging from 17th Century motets to 21st Century songs.
Rehearsals are friendly and informal, and are held in the church every Tuesday evening from 7.30pm – 8.30pm during term time. New members are very welcome and the choir is particularly interested in recruiting more tenors and basses. There is no audition and the ability to read music is not essential.
